See some of the Heart of England’s most iconic attractions at a time when there are fewer visitors, and soak up the seasonal atmosphere at one of the region’s traditional Christmas markets. Visit Harry Potter film locations in Oxford and Lacock, explore quaint Cotswold villages and dine on quality produce sourced from the best local suppliers.

Day 1 London – Oxford – Cotswolds

Relax as we travel through the beautiful countryside to Oxford, one of the most famous university cities in the world. Enjoy a walk among the golden-stone buildings and ‘dreaming spires’ to Christ Church College. This afternoon we meander through country lanes and quaint Cotswold villages, before arriving in Chipping Campden. Tonight we enjoy a welcome dinner together. (D)

Day 2 Cotswolds – Stratford-upon-Avon – Cotswolds

This morning is a feast for literary enthusiasts and history buffs as we visit Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon to discover Ye Olde England and Holy Trinity Church. En route we will stop at a thatched farmhouse where the young William Shakespeare courted Anne Hathaway. Later we return to our delightful Cotswolds base where we will learn how to make mince pies, accompanied by mulled wine. (B)

Day 3 Cotswolds – Lacock – Bath

Our first visit this morning is to Lacock, which has been used in countless television and movie productions. We wander the historic village streets and visit the Abbey then continue to Bath. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bath is truly one of Europe’s most attractive cities. (B)

Day 4 Bath

This morning, our walking tour takes us to the restored Roman Baths, the towering 15th century Abbey, the Georgian Royal Crescent and the fascinating Pulteney Bridge. This afternoon is yours to spend at leisure to visit Bath’s Christmas Market, a Christmas shopper’s heaven, with more than 130 traditional wooden chalets. (B, D)

Day 5 Bath – Longleat – Avebury – London

Departing Bath, our first stop is at Longleat, an English stately home and the seat of the Marquises of Bath, for a behind the scenes tour of the house. We then continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Standing Stones of Avebury, one of the most important megalithic monuments in Europe. Upon our return to London the tour ends. (B)
