Jeremy joined Back-Roads as a tour leader only last year. His early working life was as an engineering apprentice in the Welsh steel industry followed by a career as a police officer in the West Midlands. After a spell as a police motorcyclist Jeremy served for many years as a specialist firearms officer, his work with VIP protection taking him to many interesting locations in the U.K.
In 2010 Jeremy decided it was time to hang up his holster and return to his engineering roots. He has since embarked upon a number of restoration projects including a 300 year old house in rural Shropshire, (still a work in progress!) a number of classic Japanese super-bikes and a Porsche 911 Carrera.
Born and raised in North Wales Jeremy becomes 'VERY' Welsh during international rugby competitions and follows the exploits of his beloved Welsh Rugby Union team with great enthusiasm. Married with two grown up daughters and a Jack Russell Terrier called Hector, Jeremy recently moved to West London which is where he encountered the Back-Roads team. "With a passion for travel and the natural history of the British Isles it really was love at first sight" and Jeremy thoroughly enjoyed his first season as a Tour Leader. "I take great pride in being able to share the sights and experiences of our beautiful country with our guests.....and sometimes the weather is ok!"
