Memories of the Occupation - Guernsey
Meet lovely Molly Bihet on the beautiful island of Guernsey and listen to her enthralling tales as she recounts her childhood memories of the German occupation of the Channel Islands. Molly, who still lives near Les Canichers where the events took place, was just nine years old when the Nazis arrived in Guernsey in 1940 and has written a number of books on her experiences. She brings the occupation to life through her stories of concealing crystal radio sets, stealing potatoes and the jubilation of Liberation Day. Her tales are sometimes funny, sometimes harrowing and always fascinating.
